Our olive grove. Traditional, Tuscan.
On the hill overlooking Rosignano, at the edge the woods, about 400 meters high, the olive grove of Azienda Agricola Debbione merges beautifully in the typical scenery of the Tuscan hills.
The 750 plants cover a perfectly drained area of about 3 hectares.
There are 4 varieties: "Frantoio", "Moraiolo", "Leccino" and "Pendolino", used as pollinating plant. The fruits of these cultivars, ripening at different times, allow a harvest with a sizeable amount of olives with the bright green colour of "unripe fruit", typical of Tuscan olive oil.
To achieve the highest excellence in our oil we hand pick the olives at a relatively early stage and crush them the same day of harvesting with a cold pressing system.
